Our Story
A Personal Tragedy
In 2012, Brian's father, Liam Rohan, tragically lost his life after suffering a severe blow to his head while working on machinery.
The loss was not only devastating for the Rohan family but also sent ripples through the wider farming community. Liam was a highly respected farmer who had represented Ireland multiple times at the Ploughing Championships, and his passing was felt deeply by all who knew him.
A Need For Support
Within the community surrounding them, they received wonderful support from neighbours and friends.
However, they noticed there was little to no emotional or practical support available for families coping with such profound loss like this. It became clear that farm families experiencing similar tragedies had nowhere to turn for help or guidance during such a difficult time. This gap in support led Brian and Norma to create Embrace FARM, in the hope that any other farm families experiencing the same circumstances would have somewhere to turn toward.
